Maybe your house guest is on a high fiber diet?

You have a partial clog in the pipe but only with several showers and flushes in a row does it backup. On the week days the pipe has enough capaticy to hold the water and slowly drain.

If you used screens on your drains, your house guests wouldn't get trapped in your sewer drains.

Hopefully your cleanouts are on the outside and not the inside of your home. Once a year unscrew the cleanout, turn your hose on HIGH, and ram it in and out. Your pipes will thank you.
