Something like that would never, ever happen on a Porsche forum.

D60 rear 4.88s 35 spline - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board
Then google search "Charlie Wenzel". All "pwning" threads on any board since have wanted to be that thread. The curse of those threads is that a board suddenly has 10,000 new members from all over the web who come in, see the thread in whatever off-topic region you have, then hang around, despite the fact that they have no real reason to be there.

No kidding... I think you'd truly have to be a dumbazz to streetrace there in the middle of the day. Not to mention the fact that ANY time it's daylight there is traffic there... On top of that there are lights within a block of either place. what'd he race 0-20?

I remember back when you could race around Fox Valley and it was kind of dead on Sundays...

About a year later, after the thread was locked, someone found him on the criminal records search. He had screwed someone ELSE over!
Unfortunately for him, that person put him in the hospital with stab wounds ![]() Stupid is as stupid does...

That kid was an idiot. To recap for those who don't want to read the whole 70-page thread:
Kid advertises some new, unused ring and pinion gears for a pickup truck for $100 + $15 shipping. Someone on 4x4 BBS offers to buy them and sends kid a check for $115. Kid gets check for $115 and then states that he was really asking $125 + $15 shipping. Kid cashes check and demands $25 more dollars to ship gears. Kid changes original post to new price of $125. Buyer is pissed and demands either return of money OR gears. After weeks of pile-on on the BBS, kid finally ships gears, then reveals they are, in fact, used. Buyer is really pissed, and demands money back. Will ship gears back afters money is recieved. Kid claims he was trying to be honest all along, not trying to rip anyone off, etc... HUGE pile-on. Kid refunds money, claims he is the victim.

I think JET FOKKIN' BLACK is a pretty good viral thread. More of a "self-pwn", though.

I remember the Charlie Wenzel thread on Pirate 4x4 well... The funny part is I used to fly into San Luis Obispo (his hometown) every day and apparently his dad was a part owner or some such thing of "when pigs fly aviation", which is a flight school on the field there - I used to go poke around in there for charts and stuff on occasion...
The world is smaller than people realize. Maybe if more people realized that before they chose to be dickheads to people they'd choose to not do so. I feel badly for CW's father. And mother. I'd like to think that nobody wants to see their kid turn out to be such a spectacularly douche-tastic individual. The guy on the Viper thread is/was a tool. Not epic ownage, but still fun-to-read-about ownage. The kind that makes you go "haha - dumbass!" That Karma thing can be a real female dog.

x3 boring. Just pages and pages of ragging on a liar. I wanted to see if the liar had a rebuttal but lost interest....
Side note last week I was in my Audi and pulled up next to a kinda rough looking r/t10 and wished I was in my 930 after all it was a looong straight away....

The most exciting thing I saw there was this...
![]() I think the 911's in a field thread was better...
