what's best way to sell my spoons for decent price?

I've got a couple of guns that I no longer want and trying to sell em off and get the most money out of em as I can. gun store gives me chump change for it. what's better place to sell em for decent value?

Marlin Papoose 70PSS stainless steel. 22LR. with carry bag and orig box. guessing about 100 rounds fired. asking $200

Heritage Arms Roughrider. blued 22LR and 22Magnum. also prob about 100 rounds fired. asking $150

Gunbroker.com

"Spoon" is a web-safe generic term, so that when your tit gets in a wringer and the District Attorney or BATFE agent "Googles" (your name + gun), it won't return this thread.

I believe the euphanism 'spoon' was coined as a reference to Tabs, who is an avid collector of fine rugs, spoons, as well as firearms. It is uniquely Pelican.

I find the prices on gunsamerica.com a bit high for buying, but selling...

You might want to post some pics and prices here first. You might find some interested buyers, including me!

You probably wouldn't get more than $250 for them at a pawnshop.

Posting you guns on GB or GA...is the best way...check out price structure on your pieces

If for gun X the going rate is say $500...post yours for $490...so the buyers will call your first.

I always try and negotiate a price..so the asking price on GA is a starting place.

The trick is to leave alittle something on the table for the buyer..to make him feel happy. Remember the old saying about bulls, bears and pigs.

I bought a Browning mdl 42 shot but basically NIB for $775 off of GA...everyone was asking $900 to 1K for the gun...

Tabs started the term.

I agree with gunbroker being your best bet.

The primary reason why I started using the term was NOT the BATF...but because of bad guys out there...and secondarly as a play on the MOWAT..

krystar, thanks for asking what I've been trying to figure out. I read back a ways using the search term"spoons" and I guess tabby has been using the term for some time. I think he did collect real silver spoons, though. So, it's confusing.

Spoon? What's the point....according to DARISC, this site is a FBI favorite.

I'll PayPal you right now if you'll UPS them directly to me, no FFL's involved (I need a few "throw-away" guns).

That's correct.
I have one (FFL). After seeing the photos I could go higher. What are you looking to get for them?

Nah...it's considered a person-to-person transfer. Just throw them in a padded mailer. If the postmaster asks "what's in the package?" just tell them "spoons"...

Wasn't there a Mosin Nagant? Or is it buy two get one free?
I'd be upside down on the Marlin at the least, perhaps would be best to pm me should you feel the need for further negotations.
Perhaps HVW is a better alternative than me.

Not really. He'll be in the big house if he just drops them in the mail. This really isn't the place to be selling guns.
