Tour of CA - Stage 3 coverage - not happy with Versus

I DVR'd the stage only to find out Versus switched to the NHL playoffs just a few minutes before a very exciting finale of stage 3. Then, I go into Yahoo Sports to find out who won and they have 0 coverage of it. How can cycling break into mainstream with the lack of media support?

You think that's bad? How about the closing of the winter Olympic? They cut it short and went into this dumb reality show with Jerry Sienfield. My realtives at Calgary were up in arms shaking their heads in disbelive. Its will never bacome mainstream. They say that it was going to explode after the 84 Olympic because Alexi Greywald (sp), an American who won gold and Connie Carpenter also won the women's road race. We did OK at the track also. 25 years later, we have moved forward in feets but not miles like they expected back then. Remember there was the Coors Classic which was very similar to the Tour of CA of today. That die of sudden death with lack of funds and sponsers. Basically no one cared.
