Sorry, but your favorites SUCK.

Fine Structure Constant. Not only dimensionless, but the integral link between all of the physical constants of the local Universe.

Yep, I was an Aero...And I do more with gas flows than anything else, these days.

"local universe" was a safety measure, since Sniper would come in and claim I was saying stuff that wasn't 100% fully completely absolutely proven everywhere for all time.

It seems that thermo has too many simple equations if they have that many dimensionless numbers flopping around...

I'm partial to Reynolds, and Pi gets a lot of press but I'm going off the chart and saying the Poisson ratio or perhaps Drag coefficient.

Overheard in the MechE lab:

Cute Co-ed #1: Hey, how's the homework going?
Cute Co-ed #2: It sucks! I'm up to my butt in Fluids.

Crap....I used to be an engineer (or so I thought), and I haven't even "heard" of most of these, let alone, know what they are?

Great fodder for a quiz night somewhere....

I'll stick with Pi.....something I can wrap my arms around.....arrrr, arrrr.

PPOT and PARF. Both include folks that defy logic and know no bounds for stupidity.

I eliminated the really common ones - almost dropped off Re for that reason also, but I like it tooooo much
