The TSA is nothing more than the California DMV with rubber gloves and blue shirts. Same arrogant, power-tripping attitudes, same self-righteousness, same terrible service (although I suppose "service with a smile" when they've got a latex glove up your a$$ probably wouldn't be well-received as a slogan either...)

Thank you Mr anonymous Pilot!
It's going to take guys like this, willing to lose it all, to shed more light onto the farce that is TSA!

They wouldn't have touched him if he had been an illegal!

We're going to see more of this BS.

This is what HS/TSA would inaccurately discribe as low hanging fruit. They can't stop Julian Assange so they go after others........

'apparently TSA believes that all of their .Uber-expensive charades are fooling everyone.

I mean c'mon... pre 9/11 AQ operatives were learning to fly the jets." -that is working for some base knowledge.- and here TSA would have people believing that a cockpit safety Axe, or ground-worker pass-cards are top-secret items.

As I've pointed out before - from personal experience the "security" on most cargo ramps is an absolute joke and cargo airplanes are exactly what someone like A.Q. would want to make a big boom - typically large, heavy, full of fuel, etc. Maybe not as sensational as taking out 200+ passengers as a "bonus" but certainly capable of doing the job.

The TSA, the x-ray machines and all the other crap is simply "feel good" BS to spoon-feed to a dumb public so they'll keep coming back to the airlines and spending their money, just like good little sheep. Baaaaaa.

Heaven forbid the American public stop spending its money and destroy a section of the economy - that's the GOVERNMENT'S job!

I don't know why they haven't taken out four or five cargo carriers in a simultaneous attack, it would be easy and have a devastating effect on air travel.

I also believe there is something to be said for not wanting to get Americans REALLY PISSED OFF! So what they do is let the wound heal some and then pull the scab off after a while. It's as much psychological warfare as it is physical warfare. Most of the public doesn't understand how these people (terrorists) think, either that or PCness has taken over the brains of the person in the street.

I was of the same mind set for awhile Widg. But I don't believe there are enough people left with the balls to get pissed off and DO something about it.

"They" have a much longer attention span than Americans, and they have no problem waiting a little longer to pull off something really nasty.

And when it happens, DHS and TSA will say "See? Told ya so! That's why we need more power" and the cycle continues.

Spot on. Something will happen, its just a matter of time.

Like Thom said above, then they will try to get us to give them more power when what we really need is them abolished.

I just went through the TSA dance a few minutes ago. I counted 23 latex jockeys in the screening area, and I got to thinking: multiply that 23 by the number of terminals - more for the larger airports - and I came to the realization that if we abolished the TSA, we'd have an unemployment rate of ~30%
