Great, so now that the new iPhone will allow multitasking, you won't be able to stream Pandora and use your phone as a phone. Better make sure to keep those grand-fathered accounts active.

I remember a short time ago when t.v. was free, Netzero was free, and the phone was $15. Communication sure is pricy these days. | ||

What AT&T seems to have forgotten is that those power users really drive a lot their business. These power users know that they are power users and they recommend products and services to their friends/families/co-workers/companies. The real story is that AT&Ts network sucks and they haven't put money into it. So to satisfy the non-power users that are complaining about performance, they're going to lose all of the power users that help drive their business. If, and this is a big if, google and verizon were smart, they'd leap on this and offer sweet deals to switch. They'd also push out their tablet asap. We'll see I guess. This is a bad move for AT&T and a bad deal for Apple.

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't have a data plan but my wife does on our family plan. I've screwed around some with her SIM in my phone and I could see using some data because my phone has a GPS but between the existing cost vs data with no plan it didn't make sense.
