Classic douchebag ("club scene" guy, date rape drugs, etc.) with a sociopathic streak (probably related to his dad being a judge so he thinks he could do whatever he wanted, including abuse/violence).

Holloway's parents are idiots for allowing their daughter to go off to a foreign "let's-get-drunk-and-screw" destination at age 18. This latest victim was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time and fell prey to this azzhat's lines.

I'm still in favor of the Peruvians recreating some Incan history complete with having some priest rip his beating heart out in front of a fanatical mob on the stairs of a stone pyramid and eat it. I hate these kinds of predatory douchebags that prey on girls, children, etc.

It wouldn't bring either victim back, but maybe it'd send the right kind of message.

This country is far more preoccupied with the rights of criminals than the rights of citizens... or victims.

One of the jobs I'm working on right now is a major renovation to a correctional institution. You would not believe the standards that we are required to build to. This includes maximum security - you wouldn't believe the stuff these guys are entitled to by government policy/statute.

And nobody can answer the question of whether our correctional facilities are supposed to be punitive or rehabilitative. Not a one. Mixed missions, just like government - trying to be everything to everyone. Guaranteed formula for failure. I can't stand it, but it's a paycheck right now.

Serves him right.
He practically admitted the first murder on (hidden) camera and still got away clean.
Too bad we'll never hear from him again while he's rotting away in hell.
It would be nice to get an update on his misery from time to time.
I do feel bad for his family though.

We all want some real justice to "just happen" to the slime ball. I hope it is slow and just what he did to his victims.

My prediction (after getting some info from a Peruvian atty friend): He will spend his time in complete isolation in a 4X8 cell with virtually no contact with outside world or fellow prisoners. He will be convicted with a hefty sentence then will be transported to the Netherlands to serve said sentence. A deal will be cut to convict him of extortion crimes in U.S. which will be added to his time to serve in Netherlans. Peruvians do no want foreigners in their jails.

It will not be a pleasant process.
