The woman who called the cops is not telling the truth. If she were, she would have sought care for the injuries she suffered fighting off this "vicious" dog. The dog owners are at fault for not controlling their animal. The police are at fault for over reacting.

If ANYONE else, non-LEO had done anything like this, they would at the very least suffer civil damages, and almost certainly be charged for animal cruelty. Sure, they have a tough job that I don't want, but they should be held to a higher standard, not a lower one.

Some people are just idiots with their pets, especially dogs.
They let their dogs jump all over you while standing there say something stupid like, "Shep no, Shep get down" while ignoring the fact that the dog is not obeying them in the least.
If a dog approaches me not on a leash, barks at me or makes contact with me that pi$$es me off.
I don't allow strange people to jump all over me, or yell threats at me, why the He!! should I let someone"s dog?!
If you let your dog run free you have no cause to complain about anything that happens to them

I don't get it. Were the cops there to confiscate the dog? . ..to be euthanize? . . . because it had broken into a children's hospital and killed newborns?

I mean, it was tied to the back of a truck. ...too much slack? I don't get it. ...other than the cop took on more than he could manage. ...and he took way too long for the second shot.

My take is that the cop was doing what he was told. He didn't want to, but didn't have a choice.

1) He positions the camera to be sure to record everything.
2) He's on the phone several times during the ordeal.
3) He looks pissed in the end.
