Garage
Transformed some junk into tack driver.....

I just built this rifle from pieces lying around the garage.
Remington 788 action with Atkinson stainless barrel chambered in 7mm 08
Canjar Precision trigger from inventory prior to Canjars death.
Chet Brown 40 X stock with custom inlet made in the 80s.
It appears to be carbon fiber over a foam core with full length aluminum bedding.
Pachmayr recoil pad installed.
Weaver T16 old style scope from the 80s
UAG tactical bipod with Freeland rail adapter
Receiver and stock are coated with three coats of Dura-Coat Tractical Black.

Are you starting to see a patern?
I built this one 3 mounths ago.

Yep. Except it was Tuco, played by Eli Wallach.

Thank you.

It seems that building a quality firearm is very similar to building a high performance engine.
1) You pick an interesting formula
2) Pay close attention to tolerances
3) finish with aesthetically pleasing or task appropriate touches.
4) Then make some smoke and see what happens.

I guess the term "killer" can apply in both cases.
