This thread will be moved to PARF in the very near future. I am not sure which way you want this one to go. 11 Russian people potentially living in the United States and spying is very far removed from the millions of illegal immigrants. You may say the spys are infiltrating our government but they better hurry before the current administration implodes.

Situation sounds like a real stretch to me and will most likely take years to prosecute with little if any benefit.

Fascinating. So Putin placed them (of course). He is slick.

And we all know that Putin is still the puppet master.

Putin was a spymaster for the KGB in Dresden back in the day. If anyone knows how to do this stuff, he does.

And they are still doing it the "old fashioned way" but using modern tools.

Really glad that they got caught years ago and have been watched for a while.

Just remember, we never get them all and there are more out there waiting and watching...

Aw come on.
Russia has always had spies here and they still do.
We've always had spies over there and we still do. We have spies in nearly every country there is and they all have spies here. We know about it, they all know about it.

The CIA has been watchnig these people for 10 years. the only reasons they got arrested was in retalliation to some insult to obama from Putin or something.
it's all political. A slap in the face.

It's still funny, and maybe Russia will return the favor by outing some spies.
These people must have outlived their usefulness to the CIA.

FBI

also, it appears that Putin wanted to restore his old agency to its former glory - the number of these folks was apparently as high or higher than during the Cold War

it appears they did not personally collect intelligence, but were more like talent scouts who found out likely people to convert into spies and passed that info on to Moscow

The Chinese spies are even a bigger threat. They are going after our technology.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the CIA reciprocate (spies) in other countries as well?

I am sure we do have spies in other countries. But they don't have the high tech stuff to steal.
