Hungarian F1.....SPOILER!!!!!!!
I called it early in the season, mark webber is on his way to winning the championship.
Brilliant drive by him! Hope no one was hurt by merdedes rouge wheel bouncing through the pits......that could have/was nasty...... Lost a little respect for MS today, totally unsafe blocking manuever on rubino.....hopefully he'll be dealt with accordingly..... Vettel screwed up twice which cost him the race, 1st was when he dove into the pits alonso style by jumping the curb (we'll see if a penalty insues), second was his holding up the field at the restart after the SC......I think he's been making the wrong decisions and it'll cost him the championship..... Anyway, good race, petrov has been holding his own and it's good to see the ruskie get good results..... And webber......his fire was lit early in the season as I said before, If he stays on his game it's his year......

I've always thought Weber was a good driver waiting for the right car, I hope he wins the driver's title. Sorry to see MS acting that way.

I always thought webber was a mediocre driver and is only doing well because of the car.
how hard is it to win when the car you are driving is a full second per lap faster than the other cars and is easier on the tires? Reminds me of the Ferrari glory years when even rubins was willing. Plus webber looks like skelator. Creeps me out. |

Webber is amazing. He has the best car, but to go that many laps on super soft tires was not just the car.
MS should loose all his points for that blocking stunt. It was just horrible.

Imo he got what any other driver would've received.....there have been worse examples like this that went unpunished to other drivers.....
Had he held his line when rubens pulled back in and they collided I'd feel differently, as would the fia I'm sure.....but he jumped left right before rubens pulled back onto the track before he went into the grass.....even though it was uncalled for and unsportmanlike.... The fia allows 1 move to block a line.....although extreme and overly aggressive that's exactly what he did.....

I missed the race due to a Tivo malf - arrgh - but am happy to hear Webber won. Sammy, I agree that after a race he looks cadaverous. Before, he looks normal. I imagine they lose some weight during the race, heat and dehydration? Vettel - the kid is very fast, I still think he's got a very bright future in F1. But I'd like this to be Webber's year.

Webber also seems to be able to push out more stubble on his face in 2 hrs than most of us do in 24hr.

Rubins should have stayed on the track more and let MS ease his wheels between his front wheel, lifted for a fraction of a second and pitched him down the straight 5 feet in the air upside down.
Mark just has a great car. |

I watched the race. Maybe I was tired or maybe knowing the outcome was the problem, but I fell asleep. Was it, in fact, not a particularly exciting race?
