In VA that'd be the same as a DUI. Mandatory court and you need a lawyer just to even talk to the DA. Gonna be expensive and a long walk to work to pay those fines and insurance.

Yes but this was in CA - I expect the fines to be extraordinary - the State is bankrupt don-cha-no I paid ~ $300 for a "California stop"- slow slow (like 2 mph) roll through stop sign (with no traffic in sight) about 6 months ago.

Back in the 90's when I was stationed in CA, they started a $500 fine on top of your normal speeding fine for going 20 over the posted limit. Is that still in effect there?

our lil ol(emphasis on old) "stevo" got busted doing a 100 plus or so in his badder than bad 911. lipped off to the cop. basically stated he "knew" people to the cop or some such alleged poo and he was off to the races.


basically everyone here including myself dog piled on him cuz he was such a pompous azz and felt the laws dont apply to him because he built a 911, built a kit plane,raced in a freeking hum vee in baja for only a section,wrote a book on his stoopid porsche and his website notations how he got his weiner or his huevos operated on and how well his needle -dik worked on his lil wifey.

Did they get him on a camera? Seems like he would have gone straight to jail & had the car impounded if he was pulled over. Reckless driving at the least.

I had a coworker that got a call from the state patrol, they had a photo of a BMW 3 series registered to him doing triple digits through a bridge toll booth. This was not an official ticket camera. He admitted nothing, but assured them the possibility of that happening would no longer exist. He then took the car from his 17 year old son.
