Never had it. It came with a little booklet but here is the story: https://www.glenfiddich.com/ca/explore/experimental-ipa

I'll report back once I crack the bottle. My first one will be the Nàdurra at around 21:00

Joyeux Noël et une bonne année 2019...

I should have listened to your recommendation much earlier!

Very nice!

We were waiting for the invite to sample yours!

The Tamdhu 10 was an excellent bottle at the price point.
New in the liquor cabinet this week is a Bunnahabhain 12.
Similar in price to the Tamdhu it is a nice lightly peated Scotch.

Had a sample and it is very nice.

Will no doubt post a sideways photo of this one too.

Tamdhu is Gaelic for little dark hill and Bunnahabhain is mouth of the river or something like that.

I did not win the lottery but...

I now own some land on Scotland West Coast. Until I finish building I'll stay at the B&B down the road from one of my favorite distillery

Send a message via AIM to fintstone
You guys are all out of my league. Jose Cuervo was on sale at the mil base for $9 a bottle. I bought 6. Should last me two or three years. I can't imagine spending much more that $20 for a bottle of anything. Is there really that big a difference?

From experience I get just as drunk from a 15 bucks bottle as I do with a 40 or more bottle.

big difference, yes

Monkey Shoulder is a good gateway drug into Scotch (it's blended)

there are various categories of single malt, just like Burgundy for wine

an easy rule is "Glen-whatever and as many years old as you can afford"

I like Talisker - tho the state of Orygun almost doubles the price (over Calf. prices) with their taxes - it comes out to about $60 to $70

also like Lagavulin

those are all single malts which are usually better than blended Scotch HOWEVER the best I ever had was a blend by an Italian guy - I thought the el cheap sale price was high ($80) until I priced it a retail ($200)

so either stay away or give it a try
