NONE were illegal. either an airshow or in a combat zone. and ......................if someone did that(AND THEY HAVE) at this aeropuerto and NOJUAN got their "N" number cuz it was right at the crack of dawn o-dark-thirty..................well they got away with it.


yes here ON THE DECK not 3 feet off at mega mach speed and FULL AB after clearing western end of runway straight up and GONE!

apparently the dude got into a pissing match a while back with the powers that be here. he waited a coupla years and decided to give a payback. and I WAS HERE and it was MUCHO BUENO COOLNESS!



NOBODY EVER GOT HIS "N" Number so nobody got nailed. a number of us "kind of" recognized plane but "kind of "had some doubts to.

I was thinking of the last one - public marina. I wouldn't want to be underway with that jetwash, easy to be put about on a wrong tack, prolly my jib would collapse and whisker-poled it out on the opposite side for my boat to goose-wing.

All-in-all I think I would be a little pissed but in a good sorta pissed!

wrong. twas an airshow. note it was a blue angel. note cleared flight corridor.

pushing a shock wave thru a marina had to have (min) pissed off some people, if it didn't cause damage.

..don't know about the legality of it, but do know, sonic booms are to be avoided over populated areas.

a blue angel that did that WITHOUT PERMISSION would land so fast in the brig it would make him poo his pants aside from having his "wings" yanked and HIS PEE PEE WHACKED!


a civilian that did that would have his license yanked also el permanente.



thats why "our boy el-roy" came out of the sun(east to west) just as sun came up knowing full well no one around. i heard it about a mega second before and dashed out of my office(orfice) and was welcomed by a once in a lifetime view.


i couldnt even get "N" number he was hauling azz so fast. bout damn near knocked me backward by pressure wave and i was about 50 feet away!



wayyy cool stuff. and YES HE PISSED OFF THE ENTIRE TOWN! we heard about his POO fer weeks.

Not a "public marina". Air show over the water (SanFran Bay?). Our air shows here are (were) held over the ocean, just off the beach. Boats sit just outside the buoyed area to observe. Rest of us sit on the beach.

The website where the video is hosted says the marina pass was the 2007 SF Fleet Week airshow.

A friend of mine is an OLD retired Air Force pilot. He loved to tell about flying a B-52 in the Texas panhandle & New Mexico at night. They could see a lone car driving along on a long straight highway. They would go right down on the deck and fly right over someone. Imaging a B-52 roaring right overhead out of nowhere in the middle of the night when you had not seen another car in 30 minutes. He said several drivers almost drove off the road.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust, frying chickens in the barnyard!

i can remember as a kid SAC bombers(B-52) and then later on in life F-111's screaming azz across monument valley,az.(nava-joe rez) day and night right on the deck in the middle of BFE. now that was some cool stuff.
