This is how you use bondo

This guy loves his bondo. You could read the stoopid story at the top but I would just go down and follow the pictures.

CLIFF: He cut the roof off a coupe and then had to make a convertible top "work"

Well, it could have been much worse. I've seen bondo applied much thicker. Initially, I was wondering what you were talking about, I just hadn't gotten down to the convertible top wheel well metal work.

Yeah, sort of scary, but as long as he's happy, I guess.

"The Grand Finally?"

Hilarious that he is so proud of his hack job of restoring it, but at some level, I love the guy's confidence and the fact that he doesn't care if it's pristine original... he just wants a comfortable, halfway presentable convertible.

He probably has as much fun driving that thing as anybody else who loves their car. Go, Eric.

First time he hits a bump that car is going to explode into about 15 pieces.

I started out like that when was 16. By the time I was in my twenties I had a Mig welder. Who am I to judge ? He is probably doing that whole job on what it would cost to have two leather sports seats recovered. And he will probably feel like a King when he drives it.

The last Fiat Spider I restored cost me 350.00. When I was done, I had 2400.00 into it, and a really nice paint job. That was in 95. The car would do an honest 110 in top gear, and was as smooth as a Rolls. I was very proud of that car, and to me, those were the good old days.

To that guy, THESE are the Good Old Days, and Life is Good. You can't buy that.

Too funny! I remember reading that, and never forgot those "rolled" fenders.
