Korean GP (spoilers)

I am surprised this race is actually happening. Anyhoo, I gotta say that this track looks like someone spit on a piece of paper, outlined it and asked Hermann Tilke what he thought of it. Tilke added some long straights and 180 turns and they called it good.

No flow to this track, the pit-in is horrible like Valencia (another Tilke "consultant" track) and now the F1 crews are forced to stay in Brothels

I don't think Austin has that many brothels.

It should be interesting to hear what the drivers think of the track.

I hope, dearly hope that Tilke stays far faaarr away from the Austin track. They have a chance to do something special, I hope they don't screw it up.

I think Tilke gets a lot more criticism than he deserves. He has created a LOT more great tracks than lousy ones.

OK, he did make the 4 apex monster in Istanbul and Shanghai is at least interesting from the clouds. That's about it for me.

And yes, I just checked and he is on the contract to design the Austin track.

Be interesting to see if we have a nasty crash on the pit-in. That "feature" and the walls are idiotic. When you have a purpose-built track, there is no reason for those design elements.

Championship landscape should change Sunday.

Finish .......Points after the Korean GP
Vettel ......... 231
Webber ........ 238
Hamilton ....... 207
Alonso ........ 218

Just a guess but that's the fun of predictions.

What's the spoiler? Qualifying hasn't finished has it?

BTW, what's a good site to stream this show?

They are not "brothels", they are "love hotels"

Read the first comment here, it sums it up pretty well:

Brothels Used As Hotels For Korean Grand Prix

I do find this hilarious:

the Red Bull team is apparently in a hotel with dildo-vending machines in the lobby.

Rain washed away the rubber.

Rain will make oil in the pavement bubble to the surface.

Rain will make this a race of attrition.

Alonso is out of engines. Ferrari claims that he is reclaiming unused mileage, but what's stopping them from just giving him fresh engines for every race? They could certainly make a new engine with an old serial number.

If Alonso really is using old engines, I'd expect them to either start blowing or him taking gridspot penalties soon...
