So US Top Gear is hosted by children...and where are the lories?
Well unless these guys hit puberty before the next episode I'll probably stick to Top Gear UK.

Dunno...certainly there were better personalities to host this show. Me and couple of you all would make this this an entertaining, funny, and informative show.

Like Jay. I get the feeling that Jay would have been great...he's certainly got the funny part down.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, but I'm still feeling... meh
I doubt the BBC version shoots on film, but the US one looks so "video-ish". Pretty colors, overuse of the graduated ND filter and everything like the original but it still _looks_ strange. I'm not sure they should have so faithfully copied the concept. Seems cheezy...

I think Jay Leno would have been great, but who knows...maybe they asked him and he turned it down?

I'm shutting it down at the 37 minute mark and going back out to put the Blizzaks on the 996.
Or as somebody else here might say... Snow tires!

I'm enjoying it, actually. Tanner Foust has some serious driving skills.
The thing that struck me most is that they make it seem like they are the originators of the concept. I certainly think that credit should be given to Jeremy, James, and Richard.

The copying is lame...calling the racer the STIG...stopping for fast food in the "famous guy in a small car" segment...come on History Channel.

It is produced by the BBC, so it's not really copying. They're just using the same format, but with American hosts.

I'll continue to watch it as I don't have the BBC on our cable system.

With the internet as it is, the BBC TopGear producers should of cruised the countless car forums to find their hosts.

Maybe that explains why all the bad reviews...BBC produced? Hasn't aired here on the West Coast...but think I'll turn to the Miami CSI instead...maybe some jiggle?

I watched it. Still wasn't what I had hoped. Maybe it'll take a few episodes for these guys to get in the groove, but they just didn't click like the UK guys do.

If you eliminate the Cobra/Viper segment, it wasn't bad.
If you watch the first season of Top Gear, you see the chemistry took a while to form. I am keeping an open mind. |

It sucked compared to TG:UK, but it killed everything US made about cars. Motorweek anyone??? Yeah, it's got lots of room to improve. If we (i.e. car nuts) don't watch, no one will and it will certainly get canceled before it has a chance to get good. I plan to watch it.
