We're supposed to get 14 inches of fresh snow by this time tomorrow

So I'm going to fill the vehicles with gas, get 5 gallons for the monster (snowthrower), and try tomorrow to replicate my good friend's Landcruiser snow photo:

(Matt J should be proud of me)

Not much white stuff here yet.
Got down to -2* last night.....if it's going to get cold i'd just as soon have some snow with it.

Oh, yeah, now I remember why I'm glad I don't live upstate NY any more. Just have an extra helping of hotdish and plan a trip to go ice fishing.

Lucky bastage! We were supposed to get significant snowfall on Sunday, but now it looks like it will be rain followed by just an inch or two. I can't wait to do some ski-flying and a bit of snowmobiling.

All the vehicles are prepared, the snowblower filled and sprayed with Pam, groceries re-supplied, and the family is ready to hunker down for the weekend.

As always, when I'm actually prepared, we never get the snowfall they forecast.
So you can all thank me later... at least those of you near me (MRM, Slakjaw, BG32, etc)

Up here they are saying only 2-4 inches by Sunday night but it's going to get COLD and windy. Sub-zero windchills for a couple of days.

I don't have a snow blower but my "new last year but we didn't get much snow" shovel is ready to rock. (Coated with PAM as well. kaisen )

Today we had maybe an inch and folks were falling off the roadways like crazy.
I saw a newer midsize Chevy sitting against a tree, airbags blown and heavy damage.......on a road marked 25MPH.

My goodness. It felt like it was 80 degrees here, today. Even this evening when I walked to my car in the parking lot I was sweating in a shirt & tie.

As long as Pam's a hottie, I'm game.

Noah, if it's any consolation, they're now saying up to 20 inches followed by sub-zero temps with winds that will feel like -20

If I buy a plane ticket, do you have a spare bedroom, couch, or park bench?

Come on over this way. It'll be a good one. It's already starting to snow in Rochester.

Nice 100 series, well done. When you have something like that, 20 inches of snow is something to be looked forward to. I'm looking forward to our first snow, but I'll miss my 80.

You will be laughing in summer. It was 116 degrees here for about five days. In the shade. Luckily the humidity was not high. And at night it dropped below 100, I think.

Well, we're supposed to get 5" of rain over the next 3 days and it is supposed to then rain for the rest of the week at least. Plus the hottest temps of the summer -60F in December. So there!

Yup, just got warm here tonight. Walked out of the garage @ 6pm from working on the 356 and I thought that the house was on fire for a second. That much warmer than it's been.

I'd love to be in Mpls. Just for the next 48 hrs. I miss the snow. We have the biggest monster walk-behind John Deere sno-thrower made at the cabin and it's just gathering dust ever since my parents bought a winter house in NM.

I'm actually a little jealous, believe it or not. Wouldn't want to really live there, though.
