Looking at the photo... There's a lot going on there.
I've seen it happen first hand. There was one lady who when I met her was an absolute babe. She was 37 at the time and looked like she was in her 20s. Fast forward to 44... She's a hopeless alcoholic and now has Coeliac's disease. Coeliac disease - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I still talk to her but she refuses to see me in real life because of the way she looks. Absolutely tragic...

I know nothing about this woman, never heard of her, but it must be interesting to be in a profession where the pool of available jobs collapses by 80% (more?) as you approach 40 y/o. Celebrate your 39th b-day and know that your career is all but over. Might drive me to drink too.

One of my friends has been doing modeling gigs. She is around 60 y/o, and very beautiful. Apparently there is a market for "mature models" though not a large market.
