If you all think someone should be crucified for going 190MPH, what do you think should be done to jet pilots who go 600MPH+?

All the more reason to not self-promote one's indiscretions on the Internet. I honestly do not understand the fanatical obsession with people bragging about themselves and their (often stupid) activities online. Facebook, myspace, buzz, youtube, etc all thrive on this very stupid obsession people have.

My take on it is, "what good can possibly come of this versus what bad is likely to come of this". There's little upside and a whole lotta potential bad side. Obviously this guy was stupider than most, but still... There is an awful lot of stupid/illegal activity bragged about on the web.

I could never drive that fast...I'd spill my coffee. I'm glad he didn't hurt anyone, and there's no excuse for it IMO.

At least he was safely holding the steering wheel with both his hands and the proper 3:00 and 9:00 position.

Idiot -- take it to the track. Even there, I suspect he wouldn't do well...

I am not defending this guy, not at all, but it is funny how that guy racing around the crowded streets of Paris in a Ferrari 30-something years ago is an internet hero with the DVD sold at swap meets..

He was actually driving a Mercedes sedan with a camera attached to the front grill. The engine sounds were dubbed in after the fact.

Agree 100%. Last time I tried doing something stupid (other than hanging out with you folks) was pushing an '04 Carrera 4S to *** on a mostly deserted stretch of 4 lane highway several years ago. A minivan wandered into my lane (briefly noted a woman talking on her phone) around *** and I had a chance to test the car's high-speed handling characteristics.

If it had been a guy driving the van and smirking I'd have said it was an alert driver trying to teach me a lesson, but it was simply an ignorant driver changing lanes (2 over) without checking traffic.

Yes, and when you come up behind some dipsh**t doing 60 in the passing lane and flash your lights he gives you the finger and slows down. "Ahm an Americun, and this here's my own road to occupy as I see fit. So f***k you!"

Just saw it. I'd say 150ish. If you look at the relative speeds, the last black car he passes looks as if it is standing still and he is doing 70mph. He only accelerates significantly (based on rev sounds) for a short time after that. Doing the math probably 120-130 when he passes the car and 150-160 at the top.. In any case, not the brightest bulb to video & then post....
