What is it you don't get?

You don't get it because you are a stupid person looking for an argument and don't want to get it.

scoe911 01-13-2011 06:47 AM

(Tobra)I bet I know more about money...and making it work than you do...look lets just agree to disagree...drcoastline can defend himself. However,(IMO)him saying, "not to take this thread off topic" and then doing so anyway is like saying, "with all due respect" and then insulting someone...these type of disclaimers dont limit responsibility... (Tobra),one more thing, if you cannot express your views without name calling insults then I contend you are the one who lacks intelligence...

I don't know how to (expound) on this further other than to say this... Its the same reason they now use former drivers as stewards in F1...

scoe911,

What is it about philanthropist you don't understand? and how did I take the thread off topic?

C'mon Byron! I see you're still awake. Answer my question on the other thread. I answered both of yours! Fair is fair. SmileWavy

drcoastline,I have no beef with you,and you can do as you wish with your time and money. However,a few things...First, (IMO)I think you would be wise to keep your comments on gang-bangers and what goes on in "the hood" to yourself(you don't live there)therefore your insight lacks credibility. Secondly, you took the thread off topic when you said "not to take the thread off topic" and then proceeded to do so. Lastly, don't be like most and stereotype people... we are all a sum total of our experiences. You don't know my experiences and I don't know yours, but we can still respect each other as men...

I'll answer you here, as dip has taken the other thread even lower than I thought it would go, BTW, I'm still waiting on the Moose pix..;)

There is no PROOF (that I know of) that the applause was planned, but it was not discouraged either. As I stated, a memorial service for 6 people is not an event for applause, but as Randy pointed out, there were points were it was appropriate, but not 52 times (just while obama spoke, not including the other speakers, look at the transcript) and I only commented on it because I did watch it. As I said, I was just at one a few weeks ago (cancer) and and these type of events hit pretty close to home. As for the other media stuff, I don't know, I had Star Trek on all day:p Hope that I answered to your satisfaction, it is the best I can do right now..

Fair enough.

Just bear in mind that you and I weren't part of the tragedy there and that catharses don't follow any rulebook of conduct (I do believe that this event triggered a cathartic outpouring of pent up emotions).

Re the pix, if I get it washed in the morning I'll try to shoot some at lunch tomorrow - I'm taking a ladyfriend to the Lighthouse Oyster Bar & Grill in Oceanside Harbor and there are some nice settings there.

racerbvd, its people like you who told me I would never own a 911. Yet, I proved them wrong... I took a dream and (with hard work)turned it into reality. Ive got God,Family, friends, education, good job,a nice home and a little money as well. Enough to buy and maintain a 911(more than 30 grand invested so far including car). My point is getting past guys like you is old habit to me at this point in life....so lets dance...

What did people tell you growing up? Now I'm curious?

Lots of people told me that I would never own a Porsche when I was young, but I have never told anyone that the COULDN'T do anything if they work hard enough for it,. But, do you donate to charity, time & or money?? I don't know if you are liberal, Conservative or Klingon, but it is a fact that liberals, with all their big talk of helping people in need, don't donate as much as Conservatives to charities. Would I be wrong if I said you didn't like others telling you how to spend your money??? That is where drcoastline & I are coming from. As a matter of fact, it pisses me off when I see some one limit themselves or others tell people they "can't" do something, just a pet peeve, only topped by people who have every opportunity and just waste them..

I wasn't going to point that out, but he still has time to try and catch up to the holes we are digging...

I was $30K in the first WEEK counting the car at $12.5K. Over the course of ownership I could've bought a condo in CA with the amount I spent..

Instead I wisely invested the proceeds after sale into GM products and lots of booze.

I said nothing about growing up,I had a fine childhood and a good education. However, more than a few(short sighted) people told me I would never own a 911 and they were wrong...I have never regretted buying my car and I can "feel" every dollar I spend...

RANDY P 01-13-2011 08:47 PM

It's ultimately just a car. They come and go.

I own hoopties now :)
