another reason banks/CUs suck

I do all my banking electronically and by mail, since the nearest branch of my CU is in Virginia. But they'd surely waive all those fees for me if I complained and threatened to leave.

I do 99.9% of my banking on-line. My goal is to not set foot in the brick & mortar branch that is just 1.5 miles from my house in 2011.

Every night as I get undressed I throw all my change in a little bucket. After a year or so the bucket is full so I go to the branch and use the free change counter. They put the money right in my checking account. When my debit card number was hacked or stolen I went to the branch and they issued me a new on on the spot. It did not cost me a penny.
