It shows only four individuals within a 1/4 mile radius of my house.

I ran it for my address, and it listed someone that I know doesn't live there.

I don't know where that someone lives, but I do know all of the neighbors on my street by name.

Keep hitting 'search' and I'll bet you get different results too.

Try using it several times for the same/similar location.

Each time you use it, the locations of the teardrops can change. Also the information which pops up when you mouse over to the teardrops changes too.

Searched my area and its very interesting. I live next to a cemetary (about 1/2 mile away) and it shows 3 felons in the cemetary. Doubt that they are still a threat...

Sounds like a hoax to me. It has three people living in our local nature preserve and shows four people in our little town have been convicted of sodomy. I live in a very small community. There is no way even one person could keep something like that quiet, let alone four. And one guy I know is a felon isn't listed.

I have to wonder about the motivation for such a site. Is it hosted by the security system manafacturer association or some group that sells alarms and video monitors?

I gotta say it's a bogus data base, as mentioned above. If you search the same address multiple times it gives conflicting/inconsistent results. I had both the Megan's law site and this one side by side and they didn't match up at all.

In fact this site shows registered sex offenders living on the LMU campus as well as across the street from a Catholic school and a public high school. Now that can't be accurate or even remotely correct can it? Whereas ML site only shows one scumbag within 2 miles from my place which is across the street from a Catholic school and within 2 miles form LMU.

To bad it would be a good tool as I like to know how many scumbags live nearby!

I didn't type in our address, because maybe I'm paranoid, but I used one nearby and we were surrounded in perverts. More came out everytime I clicked search a again.

Maybe it's a tool to get valid addresses?

To get legit addresses, just look in the phone book. Bogus web sites are a lot more work.
