That chart is not entirely accurate as the guy is wearing a hat - which implies that he is somewhat prepared for cold weather. That really isn't the case among many in the South.

It's supposed to start snowing here in a little while. Not all that uncommon here in Knoxville, though.

I grew up with New England winters, what we have here in North Texas sucks more. The DOT has no skill or equipment for snow or ice. The weather is just as bitter.

I'm tell'n ya, prides of mountin lions, ice and snow in the south, Packers winning the Superbowl...it's THE END OF DAYS.

My sons girl friend lives in Nashville, she called about 10pm to let us know it took 4 hours to get home from work! A normal 15 minute drive. Southerners are not prepared for snow.

It's 3 degrees with 8" of snow on the ground. Supposed to be 54 on Sunday, 62 on Tuesday. That's what I like about the South.

Real southerners don't even go outside when it snows. For one it WAY to cold, No sense slipping and sliding on the icy roads. It will melt soon so I'd call in to work where nobody else is in either. What's on TV?

Snow days are some of my best childhood memories. Dad closed the restaurant and we hung out all day, then went sledding after dark.

-11 here. Got more snow yesterday, not that the last foot of it had melted yet.

This winter sucks a big one.

High of -25 here with the wind chill today. Not sure what that is in F, not sure that it even matters, at that temperature. Off to Florida Monday, when it warms up here to around freezing.

This summs it up.

I HATE snow. If I ever want to see snow I will drive up to the mountains and visit the stuff. I don't want it to ever come visit me again.

Yeah, it's official. Crappiest February on record and it's only a third gone. It could be worse. Bartlesville, an hour north of us, saw -28. Absurd.

Me too. I am doing an all week Florida run next week. Miami, Daytona, Orlando, Sarasota . . . I escaped from Atlanta last night just before the storm hit. It was quite funny to see the Southerners in their parkas & toques the last two days.
