Alas, the B's lost what should have been an easy win after the first period. The worst part of it is not that they are tied 2 games each but rather that they let TB back in mentally. Best of 3 begins Monday night.
Bad calls seem to abound this year. Of course as always, its easy to get it right with slow motion high definition replay... At least it doesn't seem to be one sided. Everyone gets their share.

Roloson will be starting game 5.

Marty is an awesome player. He rose up in the NHL when his speed wasn't considered the great plus like it is post-lockout. That said, if Chara pounded him, would you be whining that he's picking on the little guy? Chara has to be careful because even if he keeps his hands at his waist he's going to hit St Louis above the chest area and be called for a head shot and then all the crybabies call for him to be ejected.
"Bouch" is a passionate and intimidating coach for sure. He has done well but shoot, he's got Stamkos, St Louis, and Lecavalier... If he had Tim Thomas or Luongo he could rule the world. Fortunately he doesn't and so its almost game time.

Took me a few second that you guys were talking about Martin :D

Those little French Canadian are like devils when cornered (Latin blood with a low boiling degree)... That is what my wife says :):D:). If you have any doubt, check Ti-Guy photos below :eek::eek:

Well, Chara is not the same player since he left Ottawa. Nor sure what happened. Maybe when you get what your after (wanted to be the "C"), things are not the same.

Por_sha911 05-23-2011 03:51 PM

Chara changed when he put Pacioretty on a stretcher in Montreal a few weeks back. I think it messed with his head a little. He uses his size to his advantage but is not a mean-spirited player.

I agree he is not a mean spirited player, never was.

I think the "change" happened before that and could have result of something that happened in Ottawa before he left.

Anyway, 1 minutes to go... And if the Bruin & Canucks make it to the final, I'll be able to make a claim no matter what team win :):D:)

St Louis reminds me of the Pocket Rocket.

Yeah, Pocket Rocket (Henry) brother of famous The Rocket (Maurice) was quite a player despite his small stature... Henri Richard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rocket was great, but lets not forget the third Rocket, the Russian Rocket - Pavel Burre

I think that Boston will go to the final but I'd sooner it was Tampa but either way it will be my Canucks in 6
Go Canucks Go

I'm fairly impressed with Mike Smith. He was composed, played the puck well and gave TB a real chance.

Yes, he wasn't the reason they lost. Their power-play, or lack of, killed them.

I am still shocked he played Smith. High risk.

JB-it really has been fun to talk/debate hockey with you guys. Best of all, no name calling and trolls!
In response to those that are looking for believers...there are currently 2 people who changed their avatars to the Bruins: (well one and Trader220 who used my broom with a tiny Bruin logo in the center). I'm hoping that there will be more by the middle of June... :D

Joe

Well since I'm the "one", was there anybody that wage an Avatar on this series?

If not and it does not go your way (still pulling for you despite the Lightning French Connection) ,well, I guess you could still fly yours or in the name of conviction...

Por_sha911 05-24-2011 05:36 PM

1990: Well played. You have to admit that Boucher is not afraid to bet the farm. He goes with his gut instinct and will either be reveled as a brilliant strategist or mocked as an idiot based on the outcome. I admire his bravery but I hope he guesses wrong...
JJ: There were no avatar wagers on the Eastern finals but I'm willing to take on any and all once the B's make it to the cup. I still say that is a mighty stylish avatar (even if it is worn under duress).

Por_sha911 05-25-2011 04:24 AM

Congrats to all you folks north of the border that are Canuck fans. No one can say that the Sharks gave them the game. They fought hard. Do you think Kessler's health could be a worry in the Cup?
I won't be around the next day or two. My Mom passed away and I'll be busy with the funeral. Born in Augsburg 1925. Moved to the USA in 1938. Current residence is Heaven. I remember how when I was a kid she loved to drive fast and dad was always scolding her for it. I guess its where I got my love for driving. She used to love when I would take her for a ride in the Porsche. I bet she has a Turbo in Heaven.

I'll be back in a few days.

JJ 911SC 05-25-2011 05:19 AM

Joe

Sorry to hear about your mom. Please accept my sincere condolence.

In Turbo Heaven she should definitely rest in peace.

JJ
