You've answered all my working questions about smart meters...you know the ones in my OP.

Such a privilege to have you drop by this thread and educate me on your brand of politics...yet again.

Well Lisa you asked. If you dont ole the answer and get all green text about, I wont bother again. These are the facts, a potted histroy of why you are having a new meter imposed on you. Youre paying for it too, btw. Im sorry you feel hardly done by.

A by product of smart metering will be "smart house." Your dishwasher will be able to turn itself on in the dead of night to take advantage of cheap power.

I don't recall making politics part of my questioning. I know my history and I also know the ****ed up mess this State was in when Jeff came to power. I don't agree with the sell off of State assets like this either btw....but where were you with all your comments when good ol' Joan sold our State Bank???

Not every thread needs to turn into a political head banging contest Stuart. Jeez...it's like you have constant political induced PMT!!! Give it a break...

If you have a smart meter installed and can enlighten me as to your experiences with that then I welcome your comments.

I didnt make any political comment Lisa except to say that you have smart meter not because of the govt you stated was responsible, but because the (conservative) one which preceded it.

You cant possibly agree or disagree with me as I havent stated a position on the sell off of State assets or any other matter.

PMT,eh. If I said that to you, I would expect you to be - quite justifiably- annoyed.

Not political eh?

This started, not with the previous Govt, but with the one before that. Jeff, arch Conservative, broke up the SEC

You can thank Jeffrey.
BTW Jeff isn't the culprit here...

Program background - Department of Primary Industries

"The Victorian Government formally endorsed the introduction of Smart Meters in 2006. This decision followed two extensive cost-benefit studies, both of which found that the Smart Meter project will save the Victorian economy millions of dollars over coming decades.

At a Council of Australian Governments meeting in February 2006, chaired by then Prime Minister, John Howard, all States agreed to a national rollout of electricity smart meters. Victoria is the first State in Australia to give the go-ahead for the widespread rollout of smart meters."

Oh and I accused you not of having just good ol' garden variety PMT...but political induced PMT...nasty affliction that

OK Lisa.

Jeff is not a conservative.
Market contestability, and smart metering, was not introduced in Vic in the mid 1990s by the Kennet govt, specifically under Stockdale and Dr Peter Troughton. (spl)
There is no National Energy Market.
Smart metering is being imposed on you simply as an inconvenience.
