A few months ago a friend of mine said he picked one up and I have been thinking about it ever since.
I had an HP 41CV with the card reader and some other stuff, including the PPC ROM that had all kinds of goodies on it. The Personal Programmer's Club in Santa Ana , CA developed it. I wish I had kept it, sold it years ago. I still use a 15C.

wow - I belong to a small, elite club! and an even smaller, elite club is those who used to shove an hp-67 into their crotch while winter camping so it would be warm enuff to read the cards to process the data they collected...
I took apart my old hp-35 and it was easy to clean it out... so the 41 may be the same you could also find another used one, or use a 71 and emulator to run the 41 programs... |

So … the only time in decades I look at OT, I find this.
Somehow I don’t find it unusual to find this on Pelican. It just belongs on one of the Technical Forums. ![]() While my ‘daily’ is a 28S, I have this close at hand. (My other 'daily' is an '85 Camry but the 911 is close at hand.) ![]() ![]() I still have my '68 911 and HP45, both since new. Best, Grady

I still have mine since new, mid 80's and it is in perfect condition, used only occasionally now. I also love RPN. I still have the case too which is in pretty good condition.

My HP42s keeps going and going. Want a surprise? Try finding one on ebay. It's amazing the price that these old HP's go for.
I trying to help a friend fix his HP41 - the keys were going out and behaved similarly to what you described. I remember that ending badly as my friend got impatient and spread parts all around the room when it came apart "quickly"... |

Yeah, I would probably go the ebay route or send mine off for repair before I tore into it myself. I have to say, though, that I have gotten my money's worth out of this thing. I bought it in fall of 1982 and I have used it nearly every day (school/work) since.

I just couldn’t resist adding some ‘Pelican’ to this.
![]() ![]() How many Pelicans use HP? RPN? Best, Grady

12C here.
Had a 28S throughout Engineering School. Had to type the "studying aids" over and over again since it did not have an I/O device to store data. |

To revive an HP-41CV
I have an old CV that would like to put into operation again. I order to do that I need some parts: (1) the battery pack holder and (2) the assy in the back cover with the flat cable that has the battery contacts. I could either purchase those parts, or buy a dead calculator thas has those parts in good shape. If anybody here knows where to get said parts, pleas, let me know. Thanks
