I heard she's tiny in person, is that true? I've alway been a sucker for spinners

It seems kind of unique to Indycar that the drivers are so close to the fans. I remember at the last Houston CART race standing at a urinal and Dan Clarke stepping in next to me.

She is tiny - and the few times I've actually talked to her - she's been more matter of fact - She wants to win. You can tell about her. She comes across much better in person than she does in a 5 second TV spot

Yes, she is tiny. I'd say 5'2" and about 105.

Danica has risen to the level of incompetence according to the Peter Principle. She has been given good equipment and can drive the ovals well in mid pack occasionally sneaking up in the top 10 finishers. She has never run road courses well.

To succeed in Indy Car, one has to do both. She might be better off running Nationwide NASCAR which is surely where she is headed. She will bring a lot of attention to the NASCAR scene. She has pretty much worn out her novelty in open wheel and has little left to capitalize on marketing wise.

Every time she opens her mouth she ratchets down a notch. Every time she opens her blouse, her stock goes up. That's good NASCAR fodder. Give her a beer and a samich and everyone will buy Danica Beer and Danica samiches.

22nd out of 26 today at Barber. Next week is Long Beach where she has always sucked. Can't suck much worse than 22nd, though.

Stick a fork in Danica, she's done.

Uh, that would be last place in my book.

I know, I know, she gets more points for more laps, but where would she have finished if all cars had finished? Last I saw, she was running 21st.

You guys are lame. She was doing pretty well until her team strategist decided to do a pitstop on fuel only with 30 laps to go. She held her own for a little bit but the tires went away and she started dropping spots. They finally had to bring her in for new rubber. NO ONE can race a 90 lap race with tires that have 45-60 laps on them and keep up with cars that have fresh rubber.
IMO you're just jealous because she can whip the snot out of all of us even on her worst day. That's why she has the ride and we don't. She may not be the best in the IRL but she's still better than you and me.

There is always some (self-edit) guy that gives this kind of response when someone speaks bad about poor Danica. Let me try to explain this for you. I have never said I could do better than her. What I and many others believe is she does not deserve her ride. She does not have the talent compared to others as her qualifing results indicate. No I can't drive faster than her, but there are a lot of others that can.

As one (also self-editted) to another, let me speak slowly so you will understand:
She isn't the best but she is in that class of driver. There have been many Champ car, CART, IRL, F1 drivers who have not risen to the top of their field but they earned the ride none the less. Sometimes, no, many times, the driver is only as good as the car (and the team) they have. It takes wins to get a good team and it takes a good team to get wins. Patrick is abused because she got where she is on her looks. Honestly, I don't think she's all that and a bag of chips but she's not ugly. She can drive and she has a presence that is marketable. To be clear: I am not a Danica fan but I don't understand why everyone is so upset that she isn't winning every race. Now Milka Duno was a hazard on the track and she needed to be booted out. Last year the race officials actually had to black flag her for going too slow. How come no trashtalk/gossip about her?
