Spankin' new gt3 cup car.

New factory $225,000 cup car at Roger Jobs today for a Canadian client. Won't look like this at the end of the season!

I wonder what the owners manual for a factory-built race car looks like . . .

"Lifting the car using the hydraulic jacks"

"Resetting the dashboard after qualifying"

"Using the sequential shifter"

"Rear wing adjustments"

"Refilling the fire bottle"

(PS - did you notice how much paint was worn off the clutch pedal?)

Porsche own's them, no title. Engine sealed. No documentation!!! Must return to Porsche when finished with it. The doors weigh about 7 pounds! Carbon fiber and aluminum, crazy light. But, if I had the cash (and my own track) this is the way to go, just add fuel!

I believe the pedal has 3 rubber strips that make it look like worn off paint.

I understand few of us are heading down there this Saturday for the Bullet Racing/PWP open viewing of the car. Too bad I can't make it as I'll be stuck under my own car

That would be our new car.

You can check us out at Bullet Racing | Running in the 2011 Rolex 24 Hrs of Daytona

The team owner and a few of the team members (like Jeff Alton) will be there on Saturday for a little show and tell.

Only problem with a factory direct delivery is that there's some assembly required. Unlike Ikea, they don't provide the tools.

The team owner, Steve Paquette, wrote the cheque, and I didn't ask.

I did give him a big hug though.

It's a team effort.

The drivers usually take it apart, and the mechanics put it back together.

If the weather holds maybe I'll put the family in the P-car and take a ride up there. Sounds fun.

Is the $225,000 what the client pays to rent/lease the car for one season or the value of the car?!

What is the performance of something like that, in popular terms (0-60, 1/4, etc)?

I have no idea. I've never seen one even try a 0-60 run, as it's always launched with a rolling start.

I know Mustangs have those stats though.

No, this is the Quote of the Week.

Well played, Mr. Grant.
