Was definitely taught not to pass on right on highway when I got my license in NJ

Didnt know it was the law to stop for jaywalkers

100ft to signal one I put 50.

What was the passing %?

Can't trust an internet statistic/survey like that. I'm a perfect example, since there is no NJ, I said I was from FL and answered them all wrong.

You must be from a state where they tie stuff down and go slow with it. They don't drop ladders, mattresses and refrigerators off their pick up trucks on the interstate, where you live?. What do you do if you come up on one of those with traffic to both your sides? I have had a close call with a 2 foot tall aluminum ladder in the 993 and once had to break and avoid a fallen motorcyclist in the road. He unfortunately was run over already by someone that must follow the 3 second rule.

IMHO distance from other cars is something that you get for free. Why follow closely if you can have a comfortable gap between you and the car in front of you? I drive more relaxed if I know I have more time to react. The only down side in LA traffic is that everyone sees those 4 car lengths you leave and they have to go fill it right away in the hope they may shave 1/3 of a second off their 2 hour commute.
