She's reported to be at a recovery "plateau" that lets her communicate, but not always complete sentences. It's got to be a lot like being a stroke victim. Years of hard work ahead. Seems like the kind of representative that you'd want to have in your district.

It is heartbreaking to see someone so bright and full of life and hope be the victim of such senseless violence. I wish her well. I saw a picture of the shooter a couple weeks ago. He was smiling. Make me want to jump through the TV screen and throttle the little prick.

"Jared Lee Loughner, 22, has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the shooting and is being held at a Missouri facility. A judge declared him incompetent to stand trial, but prosecutors hope his competency can be restored so he can answer for the charges."

I'm sure we would all like to help "restore" his competency...POS .

Ms Giffords must be a remarkable woman - I sincerely hope she continues to recover.
