It is a pain for you and your girl to have to go through mediating this and I'm sorry. On the other hand, what a blessing it is that we live in a place and a time where we have the opportunity to make life better for our children.

Just think, the odds are very high that her kids will have the same thing. Your orthodontist is going to love that new Turbo.

She's very lucky to have a dad who cares and will spend the dough. Getting this fixed for her makes a world of difference as she grows up and becomes an adult.

You're right. My wife went through all of this when she was a kid. Luckily her dad's best friend was an orthodontist so it only cost him a few Manhattans at the club lol.

I just found this on-line. It's interesting because of the detail.

If you looked at any kids radiographs at that age, the size and number of teeth that all need to move, erupt and come out can seem daunting. Early intervention is the key and you are on the right track with getting things done. Generally the biggest issue is getting the primary teeth to exfoliate in order to facilitate the permanent teeth's eruption in severe crowding. This may mean having some primary teeth extracted to coordinate the timing and guidance of the permanent teeth. Generally with teeth that are severely crowded, there is just no room for the permanents to come in. This is why you see a common issue of "fang" teeth with those that don't get orthodontic treatment and have crowding. The canines come in last and there is no room. The generally erupt where they can, which is above the other teeth.

See a good orthodontist and have him work with the dentist and you should be good. It's pretty rare nowadays to extract permanent teeth like many of us (including myself) had done 30 years ago. Back then it was let them grow in crooked, extract to make room, and then use the extra space to straighten. They have found that this didn't always result in optimal outcomes, ie deep bite, unattractive tooth positions, and not insignificantly the loss of 4 perfectly good teeth for a lifetime. All 4 of my kids needed braces. Thankfully my old school friend in an orthodontist and one of my biggest referrals. Sure helped.

Regular dental cleaning procedure can truly help you have healthy tips for a long time. The best part is that these annual cleaning services are very affordable. We are also very much concerned about our dental health so visit the dentist Manhattan Beach on regular basis and get the cleaning service once a year.

Same here. I had 4 of my teeth pulled.

I have 4 teeth BEHIND my wisdom teeth. Wisdom are still there. ONE of the extra four was pulled a few years ago...

I'm a little perplexed by the OP on this one; how can they put braces on a child whose adult teeth have not come in yet and whose jaws are still growing, (a lot)?
