Pushing 110 here today and my AC is 15 yrs. old, pulling 25.8 amps, rated for a max of 26. I'm worried. Tomorrow it's supposed to start getting hot.

BTW, my 993's AC is original to the car, never been serviced and still blows ice cold.

The fins in the condensor corroded away in several parts and was not cooling very well. I had a new one installed today. This is the first afternoon where my upstairs A/C is keeping up.

While I was helping my A/C installer, I looked at my downstairs unit. It is not as badly corroded, but it looks like we need to replace it.

This spring I cleaned my condensor coils again before it got hot. I was amazed how much junk was in there after one year.

I can't stand AC - drives humidity down to uncomfortable level. I guess that's better than roasting alive. I prefer living in a more agreeable climate thanks.

LOL I have a single two ton unit for my entire house and I don't think it's run more than a total of three hours since last summer.
that's a good thing because the sparktricity rates here are stoopid high.

I can't wait to fight traffic for a freaking hour to go 29 miles so I can go home and see it

What do you pay there Sammy? I'm glad my rate is $0.08/kWh. Otherwise, I'd be effed!
