The door swings both ways, too. Last year I was dealing with a stalker and the cops told me "If you don't have video, it didn't happen". I have since installed video cameras in my work truck!

I don't understand where that term originates from, but it permeates the black community in Los Angeles County. After the OJ verdict, it was interesting to talk to them about the evidence, particularly the blood all over the carpet in the Bronco. Without exception, the urban black's very unapologetic reply was that nobody saw him do it and that "they didn't prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt." |
I saw a person on the street interviewed about the O.J. verdict and the interviewer asked " But what about the evidence, what about the DNA?" to which the person replied "So? What about the DNA? Everybody got DNA!" Priceless...

I wonder what the verdict would have been if this was a man or some chubbing ugly girl?

Saw a person on the local news actually shrug and say "everybody has to have an occupation" when asked about Whitey Bulger and his mob record just after his arrest. |
I stand corrected.
Allred is the mother of Lisa Bloom from TruTV. Now that's three that get under my skin. Quote:

Looks to me like they went to much for the killshot for the alleged murderer - lesser charge might have been an easier conviction.
What little I saw it was a thin case -- and I agree that reasonable doubt has become very blurry - as in no doubt. Now that said --the little girl is dead and no one is responsible ??? She ended up in a swamp and got there by some sort of panicked accident? Some here have said this is the system working --If this thing is an example of said system working --game over way over --somebody has to at some point be responsible but any more in the US no one is responsible for anything. Well, today should be an interesting day for Casey. Where will she go if released, how much money will she make on the scam.
Perhaps Charlie Sheen will make some moves on her. Maybe Tiger will take her under his wing, he has plenty of free time. Who knows?? Maybe a job in Europe as an au pair? |
I hope we in general do not make her a celebrity and end up buying her (sure to be released) book or movie.
We might not know what happened but, what we do know is that a little girl is dead. That should never be used for personal gain. In this current reality TV driven society I can see us making her rich from this. She "got away" from the criminal justice system but, if she's in fact guilty, her conscience will haunt her. |
I doubt she'll make more than $1.5 million total on selling her story and that's only if she does it at just the right time. Will she have to reimburse anyone for her legal defense? The fact that none of the jurors wanted to talk to the media will make her price go up. But now she's going to sit in jail for at least another 7-12 mos. Who knows if anyone will care then? There could be a much bigger issue in the news. Either way, I can't imagine what kind of loser would buy that book. You couldn't pay me to read it if you gave it to me for free. It's bad enough I can't escape the news every day. But paying to read about it? Unimaginable.

Her conscience will not haunt her.
Sociopaths have no conscience. Her ONLY concern is for herself. Sociopaths are the scariest people of all because they can fool even the most seasoned professionals |

Casey Anthony Sentenced to Jail for Lying to Police During Investigation Into Daughter Caylee's Disappearance
Published July 07, 2011 BREAKING: Casey Anthony was sentenced to one year for each of four counts of lying to investigators in the 2008 disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, with credit given for time already served in jail. But Anthony, who was acquitted Tuesday of killing her daughter, could go free in late July or early August because she already served nearly three years in jail and has had good behavior, the judge said. Judge Belvin Perry said he plans to meet with attorneys on both sides to determine exactly how much time she should be credited for. Caylee Anthony's body was found in the woods near her mother's home in late 2008, months after she disappeared. Anthony was found not guilty Tuesday of first-degree murder as well as aggravated manslaughter and child abuse in the 2008 death of her daughter. A jury convicted Anthony on four counts of lying to investigators. Each of the counts carried a maximum possible sentence of one year in jail. Perry said Thursday that he is sentencing Anthony to "one year in the Orange Country Jail, imposing a $1,000 fine on each count." "All four counts to run consecutive to each other, giving you credit for the time that you have previously served," Perry said. The lies include telling detectives she worked at Universal Studios and claiming she left Caylee with a made-up babysitter. She also lied to police when she claimed she received a phone call from her missing daughter on July 15, 2008. The lies caused law enforcement to "devote extensive resources" in their search for Caylee, Perry said. The girl's remains were found in December 2008, nearly six months after she was reported missing. Negligent homicide would have got the conviction. The death penalty was too strong for the jurors to convict her. The DA blew it.
I didn't get on board this thing 'til tuesday, so I can't say much except that my gut feeling is that she got away with murder and the jury had to aquit. |

She beat the system and she's going to be laughing all the way to the bank.
Books, movie, interviews, magazine articles, tee shirts, breakfast cereal, she's going to screw the system as much as she can. |
I doubt she'll get more than one or two major deals. The big money deal is going to want exclusivity, so it's not like she can retell the story to various outlets. She'll have an agent who will take a cut, she'll have a ghost writer who will basically transcribe a real long interview and call it an autobiography and she'll get a cut. I doubt she'll get rich. But anyone who buys the final product should be ostracized too. This doesn't have to be a profitable venture for whomever pays her. Good people could make it a money loser.

Just announced: Release date Jul 13, 2011 (next Wed).

The lies were so out of control, who's going to believe anything she says now?
