Bring my own showerhead?
Whenever I go on a vacation and rent a house I always hate the showerhead, no pressure, my girls complain about not being able to wash hair.
So, being a plumber, I always travel with a nice big Speakman showerhead. Am I the only one doing this? or are there others doing likewise?

My dad takes one with him most of the time. After a few of those low flow, skin piercing showers, I see why....

The guy that I buy plumbing fixtures from takes a Hansgrohe Club Master shower head with him when he travels.

After spending 6 weeks at sea on a sailing ship back in college, I'm just grateful for any fresh water that comes from above at a decent flow and isn't ball-shrinkingly cold. I'm not wasting luggage space or effort carting around a shower head everytime I leave home.

Whenever I'm in the shower, I think about how much I would have given for ANY shower in the desert during Desert Storm and I'm just happy to have water and any pressure at all. Warm water helps, too!

A shower. That's pretty sophisticated. Here in New Zealand we just roll around in the mud then shake ourselves dry. Sorta Border Terrier style.

You can't. It basically a garden hose with a rubber gasket to keep the water from dripping, since there is very low pressure. People over tighten shower heads. I can't understand why.

I always carry a 430 channelock wth me in my car tool kit. For me, its no big deal to change a showerhead. If I am staying in a rental home on vacation for a week or two I want to be happy with a nice shower at the end of the day. I do stay in "nicer" houses, but always finf lo flo showerheads installed, and they suck. Therefore I change it out for a week.

When I was working in Puerto Rico, my shower was not just low flow, it also produced the most awful noise. And since I was having to leave by 5AM each morning, I woke up my entire resort wing. I ended up taking apart the shower head and then removed the restrictor ring.
