This weekend, we headed down to the H-Mart in Hartsdale to pick up some supplies. For those of you not familiar with this store, it is an Asian supermarket that gets very, very busy especially on weekends. Parking spots near the store are at a premium.

Now, I did drive down in my 30-year-old, well setup 944. But, I parked in a far corner of the parking lot away from the heavy turnover of spaces. When I got closer to the front door, I saw this d'bag parked nearby the store entrance. Yep, that is an Alpine Renault.

I saw a beat-up late '70s Corvette "Stingray" taking up two spaces at Wal-Mart yesterday. It had also pissed out a pool of coolant from the front radiator. Classy. sadly no camera with me :-(

I think this is true. The people doing this don't have any concept of their level of douchebaggery. They probably just think they need to protect their "investment" because it costs more than their baby-momma's single wide.

Because a 14 year old Oldsmobile is wickedly valuable. Couldn't risk any stray scratches on that ... Oh, snap!! Is that Champaign Metallic?? That has to be the rarest Oldmobile color evar! :D

I park in the cheap seats quite often but at least put it between the lines. I figure it's good exercise to walk a little.

I recall a part-time summer job in my youth parking cars. Customer cars were valet-parked, but if they insisted, they had the option of self-parking at their own risk. One such customer managed to angle his car inward such that the front end encroached into the next space by a few feet - unfortunately the one space I backed into with another customer's car. Whoops (sound EFX of folding sheet metal). Fortunately, no damage to the battleship car I was navigating. The parking boss said, "Don't worry about it. He wanted to park it himself and avoid the tip." I was cool and said, "Okay."

The blue car with the +3 minute exit strategy managed to take my mind off of the white wagon parked in two spaces.
