Well, since the Police have been pictured, here is a local Fire Department
Funny thing is this store is right across the street from the station...

In the UK. A more common term there and tolerated more than here.

The guy above is trying to show he uses half as much as everyone else.

They're park any where they like in Rome, but I thought this guy was risking his nice motor putting it in the intersection like this

I saw this bizarre exchange tonight.

In this (really bad cell phone) pic, the silver Honda SUV has already backed straight out a few feet. But you can see how far over the line he was. The parking lines on the driver's side were basically right under the center of his car!

As I'm standing there, I thought "If I had a beater, it'd be pretty funny to squeeze into that spot, so the Honda guy would have to get in his car from the passenger side."

Not 5 seconds later, the Audi driver arrives.

Oddly, despite there being other spots maybe 10 or so spots away, the Audi driver chose to park in the tiny spot.

So he backs in, and to fit, he has to have the passenger side up on the curb! It's about a 4 inch curb (sloped on the front so he could drive up it). You can see in the pic how the pax side of his car is up.

He squeezes out of his car (nice black Audi, with, against all odds given his parking predispositions, no door dings on it) and walks into Subway.

30 seconds later an old man (old white guy, given this particular parking center and the quality of the parking job, I had it pegged as 85% probability of Asian woman, so that blew that) comes to the Honda and looks puzzled as to why he can barely get in his car.

Black Audi Driver (what is it with black audis??) then comes out and starts yelling at the old man. Old Man goes into an obviously feigned confused state, and drives away.

My Tues night excitement.
