That's the main reason I bought this bike back Tim.

Ooh. Inspired by this thread, I surfed over to a couple Duc sites. There's a '93 900SS for sale in Dover, NH for $4K.

I have noticed that in your pics taken in your garage, your insurance agent must love you.
How is that good looking trailer project coming along?

Cheers Richard

What do you know about that bike? I have a Ducati-riding buddy who can take a look at it for me next weekend when he goes up to Loudon for the races.

I HATE paying for insurance and registrations!!!!!!

That said, I presently only have collision coverage on my wife's car and one airplane. The rest either have liability only or are not being driven presently.

I'm sure this is the one your talking about.

I don't know the bike or owner personally but if it's been serviced by BCM and Clubhouse Motorsports then rest assured it's been in good hands.

It appears to be all original with the exception of the mufflers and it has very low miles. Have your friend stop by to take a look at it.

dezzmo:

That's the bike. I'm familiar with BCM, but not Clubhouse. The only real problem/issue is: do I really want to pay to ship a bike cross-country?

FMF cans? I'll have to ask if he meant FbF (Ferraci). Who the heck puts Flying Machine Factory pipes on a Duc, and then sticks Arrow stickers on them?

Other than the potential cracks at the swingarm pivot and headstock/frame junction, anything else I should look out for, other than the usual Ducati stuff? Doesn't look like he's got the carb upgrade or big bore kit in it.

I believe it was MY 1994 and after that they began having issues with the stress cracks near the steering head. The swingarm issues affected these years too it's good to ask the seller.

Your right about the mufflers, I guess it's just a personal choice but that's an easy swap. And I'm not a fan of the Carb upgrade, Keihn flatslides are good for the track but they don't have a choke and are a PITA trying to start the bike when it's cold out.

The folks at Clubhouse use to work at BCM

There's also one problem that I find quite often is the front subframe that holds the instrument cluster and headlight, they were not welded very well and would easily crack during a tip-over. This bike looks to be in great shape so I wouldn't worry too much about that problem.

Keep me posted Noah.
