This is my AWESOME stepsister who just learned in Barbados. Can't wait to surf with her. I only have one other gal cousin who surfs in the family. Funny... No guys.

VERY cool Tweez!

If I had a step-sister in Barbados - wow - I would try to go there as much as possible!

WARM WATER and GOOD SURF = BLISS!

tweezers74 02-02-2014 03:55 PM

She doesn't live there. She is just on a trip. :) But, I do have a friend that lives in Barbados and another in Trinidad. I should go visit them.

Yes I agree you should!

Great action pic of your step-sister, BTW!

You'll find the surf a bit better in bados than where you are in AZ, so ummm yea you should go!

Today at "C Street" (short for California Street) in Ventura

Baz,
My son and I were just up the coast from C Street at dawn. Just 3 of us for about 2 hours. Got home and loaded up the rest of the family and hit campus point.
My son on a smaller left this morning and me on my stand up (for scale I'm 6'4")
It was a good day with the water temp at 62 and air temp this afternoon 78

Great thread

NICE pics, Dan! Great day to hit the surf. You're not wearing a wetsuit? Brrrr...anything below 68 is too cold for me to skin it.

Just to clarify - I wasn't at "C Street" today - that pic is from my buddy Jack who lives in Oxnard Shores.

I have surfed it before though. In a full suit. :)

Hope to see more posts from you....cowabunga!

DByers 03-16-2014 06:36 PM

My daughter who is wanting to get into photography, she is 13, took the pics.
I have an extra layer of insulation so board shorts and a top is all I really need down to about 57 water temp.
C street is a nice break that can hold a large crowd but I prefer just what we had this morning. 3 guys out just cheering each other on.

Hopefully we can post more as we look to have a pretty good surf season lined up.

Hope you all get in a little surf over the next few months

Baz 03-16-2014 06:43 PM

Thanks - I live near a great break (within' walking distance) and we get consistent surf pretty much year round, thankfully.

Photography would be a great interest for your daughter......very cool. She did pretty good on those two pics.

When I saw those pics the first thought that crossed my mind was "California glass!"

And I'm with you on the crowd scene. Who needs it! ;)

Just to add to the thread this is a shot of a sunrise at our local break,Campus Point ( UCSB ) two weeks ago. One of the best ways tom start the day in my humble opinion.

Dan! Shredding on the SUP! Was that at Signals? I'm goofy too, so those lefts look fun!

Cam and I did Karting at the Fairgrounds and were wishing we had our boards for C-Street. This was one of those perfect SoCal beach days.

Sands looks like it should be good for a week or so.

Baz 03-16-2014 06:57 PM

Nice pic, Dan!
