SCANDINAVIANS! Please speak up!

All by my lonesome fluffiness. I know there is a small contingent of Scandinavians lurking on Pelican but I rarely see any posts.

Given that Sweden for decades have been one of the top Porsche per capita countries in the world and the rest of Scandinavia are also populated by Porsche aficionados, I find it slightly odd that there are not more of us here - not least since Pelican Parts arguably is THE place to be, world wide, when it comes to knowledge and experience with good ol´Ferdinand's products.

So, all of you fellow Scandinavians, please let us know who you are and where you are located!

Pelican is located in California, and the userbase tends to be dominated by California and its surrounding area.

Well, I have a cottage (with my brother) near Tyssedal, Norway. It was my aunts', but they are now gone, so we sold their home in Oslo, (well, in the process of it) but are probably keeping their cottage. I only get there about every 4 years or so (not nearly enough), and we are just renting out the cottage right now.

I don't think this counts livi... but I thought I should at least banish the crickets... and perhaps help the lonely fluffies...

This thread is worthless without pictures. I think Scandinavians are great.

I owned a Saab.

And liked it.

Oh, and I dated Ms. Svenson for a bit in college, from Sweden.

And liked it.

I believe the Swedish Chef drives a Porsche. I think he may go by the name "swang" when here on the board.

So Markus, how far away from you is Malmo? I work with a number of the guys trying to get the ESS off the ground and I would imagine that if I really, really wanted to, I could find employment in the Malmo/Lund area...

Ah great, finally Scandinavians a (Swedish) question:

I've been watching your 'Wallander' detective series this last year and can't help but notice the number of American vans/cars that appear,

why are they so popular (or is this not true)

I'm told I have ancestors from Sweden. Does that count?

This guy's show is really interesting.Andreas Viestad

The food doesn't appeal to my taste buds but I like the way Andreas gives some background on where the dish comes from and even the local surroundings.

I'm not Scandinavian, but I once bought a bookshelf at Ikea. However, I refuse to eat lutefisk so it probably balances out.

I'm a great fan of anything and everything Scandinavian. Sako, Husqvarna, blonde girls on the beach... The list goes on. Do you watch Euromaxx on TV Home | Deutsche Welle

After I separated, my apartment was christened The World of Ikea, so I'm in (honorarily anyway since I sent many dollars to the motherland).

Oh Oh Oh . . . I almost forgot. My DNA says I'm probably a Viking so I'm definitely in. (R1A1 from Scotland)
