That was pretty much perfect to play BB over the ending.
This is probably a remastered version... I prefer the muddier sound of the original... Heh heh... go to YouTube and check out the comments ^^^^ Here is the original sound with video... if there's an ad, it's worth waiting through if you're interested in gear...

Guess I got what I deserve
Kept you waiting there, too long my love All that time, without a word Didn't know you'd think, that I'd forget, or I'd regret The special love I have for you My baby blue All the days became so long Did you really think I'd do you wrong Dixie, when I let you go Thought you'd realize, I would know, I would show The special love I have for you My baby blue What can I do, what can I say? Except that I want you by my side How can I show you? Show me a way Don't you know, the times I tried Guess that's all I have to say Except the feeling just gets stronger everyday Just one thing, before I go Take good care, baby let me know, let it show The special love you have for me My Dixie dear

Interesting twist that Jack died while pleading for his life while Hank died while saying F.U.
Jack thought Walt could be influenced by money at that point...ha. I also loved the fact that Walt jumped on top of Jesse to protect him - a final act of caring for his former student, cook partner, and companion. Also interesting that Jesse's method of killing Todd was very similar to Walt's when he choked Tico in Jesse's basement. I wonder if that was on purpose. (Of course it was!) One of the most touching scenes was when Walt was saying his goodbye's to Skylar and his family. Anyone who has followed this series knows how hard that was for Walt. Byran Cranston was amazing. I gotta get one of those Heisenberg tee shirts!

Walt should have killed Jack slow.

A little troubling that Walt had the satisfaction of dying as the result of a heroic act.
But I'm not disappointed. Great story. Great finish. Best directed TV series ever, IMO.

TV and film endings are often wrapped up too conveniently.
What if Walt wasn't able to park his M60 gunship in front of the building? What if his remote control was still in someone's pants pocket? Game over. Breaking BAD ending. My suspension of disbelief didn't dissipate until after the episode ended, so the impact wasn't as startling as, for example, Walt killing two drug pushers with his car during a showdown with Jesse (episode ?) or when Hank Schrader was ambushed in the parking lot by the brothers Salamanca, or when Tuco beat his fellow gangster to death in the wrecking yard meeting with Walt and Jesse, or ......... (it goes on). However, those minor plot points in the finale don't diminish the overall excellence of the series. A final question for me; will these actors be associated as Breaking Bad characters and if so, for how long? Sherwood |

...Walt is still alive.
Next season starts with him waking from a coma, in a prison hospital, in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

It was cool seeing Badger and Skinny Pete make a last appearance too - that was a clever scene with the lasers. I bet most thought Walt really did hire 2 assassins...ha ha....
Also loved the quip "You are going to need a bigger knife if you're going that way."

Who said Walt died? All I saw was him laying on the ground with a minor wound to his side. I didn't see him loaded into a body bag and then into the back of a coroner's van. No one lowered him into the ground and put a shovel full of dirt on top.
When the franchise starts to get cold in a couple years look for "Breaking Bad the Movie" to come out. Done right this will be like Star Trek.

I thought the ending was great. Yeah, convenient that the car was able to be parked there. Perfect ending between he and Jessie.

I think he's dead. But, ya never know. I love how Jesse backed the El Camino up towards Walt as if to run over him, but passed him on the driver's side, then turned the wheel slightly and pulled ahead towards him again, but going past him on the other side.

I wanted something more out of that finale. I don't know exactly what. but something different.
It was a bit predictable. everything that looked like it was going to happen, happened. I think the ricochet Walt took in the gun blast that wound up killing him.. I think that was a bit of a 'nicety' way for him to go. It wouldn't surprise me if some the writers had wanted him to just stand there after Jesse drove off, put the gun in his mouth and pull the trigger. cut to black. credits. I think that's how it really would go. But instead they gave us that nice ending, with him in the lab, smiling, happy looking.. it was a bit easier to take. but a little too good. Too cliche. Reminded me of the ending to LOST, with the slow spiral up away from Jack.

I'm also a bit disappointed... the entire show was really about Walt and his relationship with his family. I wish they would have let that live on in some way.
I guess I missed it, but why was he so intent on killing Lydia?

Lydia always tied up her loose ends. Eventually, Lydia would have come for Walt's family.

So at this point I'm deep in to the 5th season. I had to switch from Netflix to the episodes I recorded on DVD from the marathon they ran. The second half of the 5th season is not on Netflix yet. Problem is, I'm missing two episodes, the two leading up to the finale. There must have been a conflict with the DVD. I'm not showing AMC repeating these any time soon either. Any word on when Netflix will have season 5?
