No I wouldn't drive. I'd walk no matter what the weather.

I would walk.
I'm thinking this must be a trick question, because the obvious answer is so .... obvious.

Walk! I drive 45 miles each way in heavy traffic and I would trade places with you in a heartbeat!

I felt bad about driving just over a mile to the doctor today. But there's no sidewalk on the main road and it rained last night, so it was muddy.

I am guilty. I have driven down to my local 7-11 when I lived about one block away. I really wanted a coffee but was too lazy to make it. Mid morning with nothing to do. I love LA. No body walks in LA.

My wife literally works 10 houses away. Probably about 1100 feet She drives. I rag on her all the time for it.
She says the only reason she does it is because she only gets half an hour for lunch ( shes a teacher).

That's the first thing I thought. Walk the dog ~1 mile then drive 12 houses to work?

To the post above, nice sense of humor.

I see people in my neighborhood who drive to their mailbox, uh...its not that far. Maybe I don't drive an easy to get into giant car, but in my case, it sure seems more effort to get into my car, start the car, back it up, get out, check the mail, get back in, drive the few feet back to the front of the house, shut the car down, park it, and get back out again....

I have a longer walk to the closest computer when I need to tell it to send a file to one of m CNC machines at work than the people I see driving to their mailbox.

I used to live about 600 yards from work, and it was about 1200 yards to drive. (Walk through a park or drive around it). I walked nearly always unless I had something to do during the day that required a car like a Dr. appointment, lunch with a non-work friend, etc. This was in Aliso Viejo, CA. One juvenile co-worker made fun of me for walking once, but I told him at least I don't have a fat a** like he did, and I never heard from him again.
