Please keep Pelicans informed. We appreciate it. That smoke you see this morning on the horizon is from hundreds of candles lit for David. All the best from Nova Scotia. Les |

In spite of being pissed at least he is getting appropriate care and will be back at 100% soon.
Better pissed than other alternative conditions. |
Go to the hospital is good advice.
I can already tell you that you probably haven't had a stroke. My advice: As soon as you can, go to the pantry in your house and throw the can of Accent flavor enhancer into the garbage. Next, if you eat canned soup, throw most of it away. And delete Doritos, Cheetos, and any other highly-flavored salty snack food from your diet. I'd stay away from soy sauce and avocados as well. Why? Because these are all trigger foods for migraine headaches. A migraine is not simply a "headache turbo S" as most people think. It is a food allergy in men [usually], and is caused by rapid dilation/contraction of blood vessels in the brain. The fact that you've had episodes as of late where you develop a temporary blind spot in one eye is the giveaway. The numbness on the side of the face means that you'd better be checked, but you've probably simply developed an allergy to a chemical called monosodium glutamate. Avoid it and you should be fine. Get well soon! We need you back here- N! |
It's wonderful that David took the advice given here and got to the hospital. Best wishes to you David, and a happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. And to all the Pelicans and their loved ones. SmileWavy

David restored my little Remington model 51 pistol earlier this year and made me a very happy guy. I wish that there was something that I could do for him... We've talked on the phone and conversed here on this forum and he is one of the best!! |
Very happy to see this, thank you David for going. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mrs. Targa911S, will be checking in throughout the day hoping you'll be home soon.

Just saw this thread and had to speed -read through it because I couldn't stand the suspense of knowing whether or not he went to the ER. So glad he did and thanks for keeping us in the loop. Mrs David.
Hope you're well buddy! |
Thanks for the update on David.
Hang in here buddy!!! |
I hope it is just too many Cheetos, but whatever it is , I wish you a speedy recovery and a Happy Thanksgiving, and if you need ANYTHING let me know. I am close, I would be glad to do a good deed for a good man.
|
Thanks for the update, MJ.
My best to both of you! |
Best of luck David.
Thanks for the up-date Mrs. D. Happy Thanksgiving to you both. |
David, and David's wife, I'm very sorry to be reading this. All the best for a speedy recovery. I have a sister-in-law that had a mini-stroke at about age 40. Very scary for her, but full recovery, but it becomes another issue to consider every time what could be a symptom rears its head. Thanks for the update, and the opportunity for us to let you know we care.

Thankgiving day in the hospital..... Man that sucks. Hope you get out in time to enjoy the holiday weekend a bit and get some quality time in the shop.

Thanks for the update. Prayers sent.

Wow I just saw this. I met David on Sunday at a gig he was playing in Pittsburgh. Glad he went to the hospital and hope everything turns out for the best. Follow the docs orders and get well.
