Thanks for the update, he's in our thoughts and prayers with as much positive energy/thoughts as possible flowing his way.

Surgery is scheduled for Monday. They believe that the clot they found is in a position where they will be able to clamp above it and then go in below it to make the incision to clean out the arteries. They will likely keep him until Thursday or so. He will be in the ICU for two days following the surgery.

Thank you for keeping him in your thoughts - he sure loves you guys!

Thanks,
Chandra
Chandra,
Thanks for the update! We sure miss David around here, he's one of the best people I've ever "met" and I really want to meet your parents "in person"" to tell them how special they are to so many people.

Really glad for the update! Thanks to modern medicine, I have a good feeling about this one. It's amazing what they can cure these days if they catch it in time.

Been watching this thread & am happy to hear they have a solution to the problem. Here's hoping it goes flawlessly and he's back to his old self soon.

"Modern medicine" hell! It was more like several friends here on the board kicking him in the rear to go to the ER IMMEDIATELY that probably saved him. A stroke or heart attack is something you just do not wait on and glad he is someplace where they can keep an eye on him!

Mrs D and/or Chandra, take him some decent grub, just don't let him eat Monday morning.

Good luck, your days of eating bacon are probably over, turkey is okay though and I think sweet potatoes are supposed to actually be good for you, so knock yourself out.

Good blues bass players are hard to find and they're not making any more of them, so David has to recover fully. At least, his hands. Not sure his brains are really that big of a deal, but his hands....

Well, yes...modern medicine can't help you if you don't get yourself to the doctor/ER. So we're both right I think.

Super...David's wife & daughter may not know that green text denotes sarcasm here...So, in case they read this, SUPER DIDN'T MEAN WHAT WAS TYPED IN GREEN!!

Of course sarcasm. Only the warmest wishes for David. But I wasn't kidding about the bass playing part. I dunno if we have enough gun restoration masters but we sure don't have enough good bass players. (wink)

Got a text from David, he's got a little "cabin fever" but that's to be expected.
