Well, I did say "rival Bullitt". Far as I'm concerned there is no chase scene that tops it.

I liked the chase from Ronin. De Niro didn't look to comfortable but it was good and lots of stuff destroyed in the process.

"To Live and Die in L.A." has a chase scene that's WAY better than the one in "Bullitt".

I don't know if those two little 4 bangers rival the bullett chase but I am pretty sure theres a maroon Maserati Ghibli Spyder between 2:32 and 2:35.
![]() I couldnt find a decent pic of a maroon Ghibli so I posted this really sweet brown metalic one. |

I collect car chases and have been dragging around a VHS of this for 20 years...it's a classic, some good driving.

"Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail me now."
Man, when they scrubbed off a little too much speed, they were dead in the water. Heh heh. IMO, that scene surpasses the one in Bullitt. Production values were much lower, but it's a way more interesting scene for a lot of reasons.
