Very simple DIY project. Once the cover is off, it's just 2 or 3 minutes. Test output voltage 1st.

Power supply. Surprisingly, the puter seems to run quieter as well.

Sometimes the failing power supply can take out the systemboard and you may see leaking capacitators. This just happened to an old PC that I was repairing for a friend.
