I'd love to bring my dog, but that wouldn't fly here. Too diverse, too big, to corp. She'd love it, she loves people, but she's also very enthusiastic (would stand up to say hi and likes to lick) which would probably turn some people off.

My wife's dog is very laid back and would be more likely to just hang out, but he's also a little skittish around new people and takes a bit to warm up. He's adorable, so everyone always wants to say hello. It would be good for him to socialize more, but with my work environment, it's a moot point anyway.

That's about the only perk left in owning my own company.....

I bring Marcus with me when I'm not meeting anyone, or going to vendors/stores.

I probably could if I chose to, but don't. Too many chemicals and too dirty of an environment. We take her just about everywhere else though. Outside diners, camping, "road trips" to the store...etc. In fact we just got back from a couple of days of camping. Good times.

quite a few people bring theirs on the pipeline. I wish they wouldn't let them run loose. We had an English Bulldog run over this year and I nearly nailed a Golden Retriever with a D6 while backing up. For some reason they don't pay heavy equipment nearly enough attention.

Ha - good thread......I'm a landscape contractor and sometimes they can come and sometimes not.

In Florida - most days it's too hot to take them somewhere where they will be in the truck for long periods of a time - but sometimes when I'm on a project where they can run free it's different.

Like Larry said though - I don't just let them run around anywhere...no way would I let any harm come to them.

Here is little Winkipop when she was still just a little puppy in dad's truck at a jobsite...(I socialized the dickens out of her when she was young no matter what it took!)

The best is when we visit nurseries....where they can romp!!!

Winkipop - now 6, with her adopted rescue sister Billabong....

20 people work at the paper. probably own 30 dogs between us. just don't think the building could handle that many pets.

i live about a mile away, so i get home every lunch to play with him.

I guess I could bring our dog to the shop, but she'd have to learn to ride on the bike first.

I'd rather deal with dogs then a lot of people. Plus the fact that some smell worse then dogs...

I'm only at the shop two days a week and Jack always goes with me. He's the "official greeter". The owner has his black lab there too, She is going to have puppies any day now so it will be a zoo with Jack Molly and her puppies all there. Everybody that comes in just loves Jack. He was sick one week so he missed both days. Regulars were like" Where's that red dog?"
