179.2 lb after the STP. Probably just dehydration.

Hey, Tom, you're doing well. A little up now and then is part of the game me thinks.

Weight is same here. So is the stress.

aigel 07-16-2012 08:06 AM

After an excursion into the 200s and pulling the emergency break, now at 192.6 today. Like JYL it may be some dehydration due to weekend workouts ...

Bummed. Got down to 178.8 lb on Tues, now 182 again, and I have not been over-eating - 1900-2100 cal/day since finishing the ride, and still riding to work so not couch potato'ing either. I'm really finding it very hard to get into the 170's and stay there.

Have you been #2 since the race? :D

I have started to set calorie burn goals for the week on my garmin and it has helped me stay motivated during the week. I sure can burn much easier than significantly reduce my intake.

Your regular calorie / day rate must be pretty high - what do you think the commute takes? Maybe you should take the MTB to make it more strenuous?

I know I'm about 7-months late joining in on this, but know I will do a better job sticking to a routine if I post about it. They say you are more committed to something when you write it down for others to see, since it holds you more accountable.

Long store short, I've always been a bigger guy. I don't remember when I weighed less than 200 pounds...probably fifth grade. Despite this, I used to workout 5-6 times a week. I didn't eat as well as I should have, but the regular exercise kept me in the 225 lb range. We had our first baby last December and since then the workouts have been few and far between and I've been eating crappier. I know that I balooned and literally just about passed out when I just weighed myself! So, without further adieu...

Now, I'm off to the gym.

Broke into the 180s finally - 188.4 yesterday!

What helped was to run and swim more, not just bike.

I am having a 7000 calorie / week challenge for the next week using my Garmin Forerunner. I will mostly bike and run.

Great!

I have backslid up to 183#. Arrgh. But have started lifting, a bit.

Ramathorn 08-12-2012 08:19 AM

what a crazy month its been between surgery, recovery, vacations, BBQ, daughters first b day ect. anyhow ballooned up to 191 earlier this week (Monday) but, recouped and now back down to 183. Kris Gethin's DTP 4-week DTP is crazy intense (workouts, supplements and nutrition) if anyone is interested in it or thinking about it.

Zeke 08-13-2012 10:56 AM

188

mossguy 08-20-2012 07:25 AM

188.6

aigel 08-20-2012 09:07 AM

Friends visiting over the weekend dindn't help and it is going back up despite a good daily workout routine.

190.2

But decided last minute to sign up for a local 5k and ran within 10 seconds of last year's time. Very happy with that considering the little running I have done. (Mostly biked pretty hard).

Still 188 but still down from start of 196 to 198.

mossguy 08-28-2012 07:37 AM

Milt - how tall are you?

aigel 08-28-2012 07:50 AM

188.6 this am - will make another push in the next 2 weeks.

187 -- only 8 lbs. down from my May weight. This is a lifestyle change and it ain't easy.

jyl 08-28-2012 12:07 PM

Not a sprint, etc.
