I tried to watch the movie DUNE again.
It came out when I was very young. The movie was over my head. I remember them handing out a sheet with definitions when I bought my movie tix. It was on tonight. I couldn't watch it. Not so sure I would understand it now.
I wonder of they will ever remake the film?

It was re-done in the last 10 years as a mini-series by the SyFy channel. The original DUNE was very good. The mini-series was excellent and really followed the books.

I agree a little hard to follow. Fortunately I took an English lit. elective in college on Sci Fi and read SO MANY excellent books I maybe wouldn't have - including Dune, I Robot, The Sirens of Titan, etc. To this day I LOVE this genre more than any other...

The David Lynch version of Dune sucks. He even tried to have his name taken off it.
You really need to read the book(s). |

It is almost impossible to put Dune together in 2.5 hours. The 1984 movie did a good job. If you never read the books, it might be tough.
